‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 10, episode 5 preview: Sheldon, Amy, and bathroom drama
Tonight on “The Big Bang Theory,” Sheldon and Amy kicked off an “experiment” involving the two of them living together while her apartment flooded. How did that work out? Well, let’s just say “not great.” Sheldon of course is being a total heel about the whole thing, and not being accommodating about it in the slightest. Basically, it’s yet another one of those stories where we feel incredibly bad for Amy given how much she puts up with here with this guy.
Well, we unfortunately cannot say that next week’s “The Hot Tub Contamination” is going to go a whole lot better for Mayim Bialik’s character.
Synopsis – “Leonard and Penny must separate a quarreling Sheldon and Amy when their cohabitation does not go as planned, and Sheldon threatens to break off their relationship when Amy refuses to adhere to the bathroom schedule. Also, Howard and Bernadette find unexpected guests at their house when they decide to stay home from a planned vacation.”
Personally, we’ve always found some of the bathroom-related stories with this show to be a little bit juvenile, mostly because we know people out there who are like Sheldon, minus the whole bathroom part. This is the element of him that feels a little too over-the-top, and the one that is too grounded within the world of a sitcom. The rest of the episode may be a little more promising, in particular when it comes to what Howard and Bernadette find. Whether it be raccoons or squatters, there are a lot of different possibilities as to what they could be dealing with.
In going back to Amy and Sheldon, we will say that we are confident still that (somehow) these two are going to figure out their problems. After all, if they’ve been able to figure out everything so far, we have confidence they will resolve this, as well. Sheldon just needs a wake-up call or two (or three).
