‘Big Brother 18’ cast spotlight: Meet Corey Brooks a.k.a. Clay again
After being eliminated basically giving up his game last season for Shelli, it’s amazing that Clay Honeycutt managed to get cast on “Big Brother 18” this summer. Okay, maybe we’re being a little mean to Corey Brooks, but seriously this guy is more or less from the same mysterious factory in the middle of a Texas cornfield that Clay was.
Is he going to be a contender to win? Probably not. Is he going to be a contender to get into a showmance. Absolutely, and we assume that was almost entirely why he was cast. If you look below, you can get more of our take on why he could be at least a part of the discussion this season … even if he’s not winning by any means.
Facts to know – He’s a 25 year old dude from Dallas, and we suppose we should be nicer to him given that this is also our hometown. When it comes to occupation, he’s a baseball coach. Think Graig from “Big Brother Canada” without almost everything that made Graig entertaining.
Show history – We have no real clue, but our guess is that he was on vacation to California, casting snatched him up at a bard next to the Santa Monica Pier, and now he’s in the house talking to Big Jeff about how he’s going to play this season.
Past houseguest comparison – CLAY. CLAY CLAY CLAY. He also does his interview with Jeff like he is being interviewed postgame after what he considers to be a moral victory. (He’s a little Peyton Manning-like minus the Papa John’s endorsement.)
Clear weakness – He isn’t going to compromise his morals or blah blah blah. He’ll get tied to a showmance, be viewed as a non-entity other than in competitions, and get dragged along to the final seven or so until he’s thought of as too much of a threat to win his way to the end. Then he’ll be on the jury and cast a very self-righteous vote in the end. (Also, personally we find some of the tweets that have been unearthed from his past really upsetting — we’re not going to go into it here but they’re out there.)
Early prediction – Hey, he’ll do better than Clay. We’ve already given the rest of our prediction away, haven’t we?
