‘Ink Master’ season 7, episode 11 video: Becoming head of the class

Tuesday night’s new episode of “Ink Master” is going to help to further set the stage for the finale, but before we even get into the Elimination Challenge, there is another order of business that needs to be taken on: The Flash Challenge. This is one of the craziest ones we’ve seen this season, mostly because the show somehow found a bunch of people who are willing to have their heads tattooed by the final five.

The great news is that these are probably five of the best artists in the history of the show. The bad news is that it’s still possible that anything can happen at any point, and if you mess this up, your canvas has to wander around with an ugly tattoo on their forehead the rest of their lives. This isn’t something you can cover up for a job interview like something on your arm.

The theme for this week is ingenuity, which we think is mostly just code for “be creative.” That’s fine to us, mostly because at this point we want to just see the artists excel at what they’re good at the majority of the time. There’s no reason to make them do something that caters to a specific style at this point … or at least for this challenge, given the nature of what they are doing.

The winner here will once again get a chance to choose human canvases for the next challenge, which at this point could be a nice way to secure themselves a spot in the final four.
