‘Ink Master’ season 7, episode 11 preview: Head tattoos and much more

Cleen -Tonight, “Ink Master” once again went with the Face-Off format, and in the end tonight we saw Jesse Smith and Anthony Michaels battle it out. Both did completely different things, and as the judges pointed out, this was really all about technical issues. We’ve now seen the departure of Jesse from the competition, which was somewhat surprising but at the same time, probably the right move story-wise since we’ve gotten to see Anthony all season long.

Now, we turn to the next new episode, and one of the stranger challenges we’ve seen in some time. While we’re not sure if every artist is having to do a head tattoo, it does appear as though there is a challenge ahead about tattooing parts of the human body that no person should really want a tattoo on. These are going to be painful, difficult for the artists, and probably something that will test their creativity.

So who’s the favorite right now? We put Cleen Rock One as the image for this article since at the moment, we don’t know how you put anyone else in that position. He’s been pretty dominant through most of the season. However, at the same time Christian Buckingham and Anthony Michaels have both been incredibly impressive in their own way, and other than during the Face-Off there really has not been a moment where we were especially concerned that one of them would be going home.

As for an underdog, we’re not sleeping on Matti Hixson right now. James Vaughn is talented enough to win, but will it really be all that cool to see a guy win who’s barely been there?
