‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 9, episode 16: Will Bernadette drop the big news?

Before we saw last night’s new episode of “The Big Bang Theory” over on CBS, we commented on what felt like a rather fascinating move from the network to release details on the 200th episode without really going back and discussing the installment that was set to air before it on February 18. (Episode #200 is coming on the 25th.) Why do that? We imagined that it could have something to do with a big storyline that the show wanted to keep under wraps, and that was largely confirmed by what we saw with Bernadette’s pregnancy. It’s official!

Now comes the matter of when she will reveal it to someone other than a rabbit recovering from a dangerous swim in a hot tub.

Based on the just-released synopsis for next week’s “The Positive Negative Reaction,” it’s fairly safe to assume that she is going to star spreading the news to everyone:

“When the gang finds out about Bernadette’s pregnancy, they celebrate by singing karaoke. Also, Bernadette is concerned when Wolowitz freaks out over her pregnancy announcement, and Wolowitz is convinced he must make more money to provide for the baby.”

This money concern has always been there for Howard, mostly because he worries about his wife making more money than him. Yet, at the same time, he’s also a guy who went to outer space! We feel like if there is ever someone to feel somewhat insecure about their career standing, it’s almost certainly not him. He’s got things going on right now, even if his job on Earth is not nearly as exciting as it once was.
