‘Survivor Cambodia: Second Chance’ episode 7 preview: A (possible) early merge; Chaos Kass returns

Kass -

The earliest in any season of “Survivor” that we have seen a merge take place is at the final twelve. Therefore, is it really possible that one could be coming so soon next week?

If the show was to merge at thirteen (which was suggested in the preview), there is great merit to it. If the goal is to continue to keep players completely unsure as to what is going to happen, that is a way to ensure that they are. Also, it gets you to some of the most entertaining gameplay in the blink of an eye. Given how chaotic almost every alliance in the game is right now, anything can happen.

The preview hinted at a true return to form for Chaos Kass, which may not be great for her even if it is tremendous for us when it comes to entertainment. She did potentially burn Savage and Kelly Wiglesworth at this past tribal council. Luckily for her, she may still have the largest alliance in the game with Keith, Joe, Ciera, and Kelley, provided that they all end up staying together now after a little bit of time apart.

So what are some other dynamics to watch? Seeing how Stephen, Jeremy, and Kimmi operate as a three-person alliance could be fun, as could seeing if Savage can find his way back to Tasha and some former members of Bayon. At the moment, Andrew may be in one of the worst positions possible given he is an obvious threat, people know he has some tight allies, and leader-types after the merge don’t often fare well.

As for who is in a great spot, hats off to Ciera. She made a great move this week, she has an alliance, and nobody is coming after her soon. Maybe she has a nice path to the final five already! Then again, anything can happen on this season.
