‘America’s Got Talent’ results: Did ‘Dunkin’ Save’ help Freckled Sky, 3 Shades of Blue, Ira?
Tonight’s “America’s Got Talent” marks the second results show of the season, and just like last week, we are here to help guide you through it piece by piece! Check back throughout the night for some further updates.
Dunkin’ Save – There is a little more drama going into this one than last week, where it felt pretty secured that we were going to keep Samantha Johnson and then likely Alondra Santos. There will probably be a worthy act who doesn’t make it through to the next round.
The acts that are chosen for the Dunkin’ Save this week are Ira, 3 Shades of Blue, and Freckled Sky. We’re somewhat surprised by this! The dance act was Howard Stern’s Golden Buzzer act! We think they will easily be the Dunkin’ Save recipient, and that from there, the band will probably beat Ira (who we’re shocked even made it this far).
Saved Acts – We’re first of all shocked that Uzeyer is through! We loved him, but America does not tend to vote often on these circus acts. The second, opera singer Arielle Baril, is not anywhere near as surprising. From here, the rest of the choices consist of people we thought would get through in Derek Hughes, Sharon Irving, and the Craig Lewis Band. At least two guaranteed variety acts are going to be going through.
Final results – America voted to save … Ira? Seriously? The only thing more shocking than this is seeing Freckled Sky go home over 3 Shades of Blue. This may be one of the most stunning eliminations ever at this point in the competition. We don’t agree with it; it’s no slight to the band, since we think they and Freckled Sky should have advanced. What a weird, disappointing night.

I’m quite shocked that America saved Ira. I really thought that Freckled Sky was automatic top 5 let alone be saved by America if they end up in the 6th , 7th and 8th. The other shocker is the Judges saving 3 Shades of Blue who are still less talented at their best compared to a mediocre performance by Freckled Sky

With Howard pulling for 3 Shades of Blue, it’s really not a surprise. He will ensure the producers put them through.

I want to say that I think the judges should have been sitting where I was.if they would have been then maybe they would have noticed Freckled Sky’s performance was flawless and it was not supposed to be like some of the other shows they have seen similar to it. The guy was not supposed to get the girl and the girl was not supposed to get the guy! It was to me a beautiful love story where no matter how hard they tried to meet with one another it just wasn’t going to be. Not all love stories end on a happy note. Even when the brick wall came down from in-between them and they crossed over hoping to finally meet up with one another, they still couldn’t touch each other no matter how hard they tried. I thought it was a beautiful play off of a story like Romeo and Juliet. Open your eyes and hearts people. Mot all love stories end up happily ever after! Freckled Sky you should have been put through. Not another cute boy rock band who’s singer needed maybe another year of practice!

That’s probably true, but I think cumulatively I think we’ve seen more promise from them than some other acts that are moving on.

I had DM Nation beating Uzeyer hands down and don’t have a clue what happened there. I get why Ira advanced—it’s the type of humor and the love of puppetry; very reminiscent of the Muppets. I would have preferred Freckled Sky to 3 Shades of Blue but I have to agree that their performance was not as “wow”-ing as their previous one.
