‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5 spoilers: Emma’s surprising ‘mentor’

Given the present state of Emma Swan on “Once Upon a Time” season 5, it’s only fitting that she gets a little bit of help, right? Well, what may complicate things for many of you out there is finding out just what the source of this said help is.

The image below comes courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, and it shows Emma a.k.a. the Dark Swan (now that she is possessed by the Dark One) getting a few pointers from … Rumpelstiltskin? It may be crazy (and it probably is crazy, to be honest), but it’s true. Robert Carlyle’s character is going to help Emma understand what is happening to her. Given that he is such a schemer, you probably should be worried about ulterior motives … but at the same time, who knows how to handle this better than him?

If there is anything that Emma should fee fairly good about right now, it is that she is going to have her parents out there probably doing just about everything that they can to make sure that she is freed from this curse sooner rather than later. We know that they are going to be interacting with many Camelot characters, and who knows? On the other side of it may be finding Merlin, who is the man who can break this curse once and for all and dispatch the Dark One as we know it.
