‘The Bachelorette’ finale: Nick Viall talks Kaitlyn Bristowe’s ‘I love you’ declarations
Even though we are now more than a day removed from the end of “The Bachelorette” this season, that is certainly not stopping anyone from continuing to talk about the experience … including Nick Viall.
For the most part, we don’t find the post-show interviews particularly useful, since it is mostly just regurgitation of things you’ve heard many times already. However, the one between former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky and Nick (see below) is a little more interesting, mostly because she is one of only a few select people who has that perspective of being the leading lady on the show. One of the things that she did learn while on her season was not to say “I love you” to anyone, which Kaitlyn Bristowe apparently did many times to Nick before ultimately rejecting him and becoming engaged to Shawn Booth.
In talking more about why this rule was instituted, Ali said the following:
“When I was the Bachelorette, the producers were always like, ‘Don’t tell someone you love them! Don’t tell them!’ … It’s a rule. You’re not supposed to say it, because you can change your mind. They say, ‘Don’t say it until the end just in case.'”
We do think that in the end Nick is someone who now is probably best suited to just go away from the franchise, find happiness, and maybe just issue a press release about any marriage or children he might have. Sure, we’ve heard him say that he would be interested in becoming “The Bachelor,” and while we imagine that it would be crazy entertainment, that’s probably never going to happen in a million years.

This is a good interview. I like what Alibsaid about not professing love until the end. Good Idea! I also liked it when Nick said that Kaitlyn probably lives too much in the moment. I agree with that. I agree with Matt and Jessa that Nick would be best served to find love off camera and then report it. Nick seems like a good guy who deserves love. However, it also seems like Nick isn’t suited for television. In my opinion, he is probably beter off without Kaitlyn.
