‘The Flash’ spoilers: Is there tension ahead for Iris, Eddie?
In the comic preview below, you can see Eddie clearly suffering from some of the after-effects of knowing that Grant Gustin’s character is the speedster. He is able to use Barry to help put away more criminals, but at the same time, he’s almost too good. This is causing Iris to wonder to herself if there is something that he is keeping secret. He denies it, but let’s just say that Eddie is nowhere close to as good of a liar as he is a cop.
The more we watch Eddie, the more we of course worry about him becoming a potential adversary for Barry. That last name is a consistent reminder of what his descendants will someday do, and if Barry’s secret leads to his and Iris’ relationship coming to a close, that resentment could start to expand and fester.
What we cannot understand at the moment is this: Why just not tell Iris the truth about Barry being the Flash at this point? Wouldn’t she be a source of good PR as a reporter? It just feels like the benefits of it far outweigh what the scant advantages are of keeping it hidden.

Iris should just dump Eddie as nobody cares about his relationship with Iris anyway. They not to fight when we’ve hardly seen them together on the show as a couple anyway.
