‘Glee’ series finale: Jane Lynch on Sue Sylvester’s ultimate endgame

Is it possible that Sue Sylvester could actually have a happy ending on “Glee” when the series finale airs on Fox? We’re not entirely sure that “happy” is a word that many are used to saying when it comes to this character. She has spent most of the season and the series being enraged about one thing or another, and the majority of it has not even made sense. Specifically, we are talking here in terms of some of her nasty comments about the glee club, and her attempts to stop it at almost any cost.

Given that she has assaulted, screamed at people, and done many other horrible things, is it possible that there still could be a good ending at the end here? Based on what Jane Lynch told TV Guide, this is more than possible:

“In the end… she uses her power for good as opposed to evil … I think Will has softened her and has brought out the good in her, and we see that at the end. We do a number together in the last episode, an ABBA number.”

At the end of the day, the one thing that we are really hoping for above all else with the finale for Sue is that she gets a little bit of comeuppance, but also a chance at redemption. The truth here is that this comedy is not meant to be taken seriously. It’s satire! It is meant to be weird and goofy and different than almost everything else on TV for a reason. Seeing Sue locked up for her misdeeds wouldn’t really feel like justice.
