‘Glee’ series finale: Listen to Lea Michele sing Darren Criss-written ‘This Time’

With the “Glee” series finale airing on Fox Friday night, we are starting to get a little bit of the sense already that Fox is doing almost anything and everything that it can in order to promote the show. That includes releasing just about as many different audio clips as possible, including Lea Michele performing a certain song that was written by her co-star Darren Criss.

If you head over here, you can listen to the Entertainment Weekly exclusive stream of the song. It’s rather lovely, no? The lyrics are poignant, and Darren did a fantastic job of creating something that really seems perfect to sum up the entire “Glee” experience. It does a tremendous time of reminding you why this show was so important over the years. It’s also a ballad, which is good for really showing off Lea’s signature voice and vocal range.

As for the context of this performance, you are still going to have to wait and see just what that is going to be like. All we are really hoping for at the moment is that it continues to give you a strong sense of closure to the show. We know that we are moving forward to the future, and the only thing we are afraid of is that the show will make some decisions that are completely disconnected from almost everything.
