‘Talking Dead’ spoilers: Alanna Masterson, Timothy Simons, Denise Huth to appear

Talking Dead -Typically when we see a lineup for “Talking Dead,” we can get a fairly decent idea as to what is going to be taking place in a given episode. After looking at Sunday night’s edition, though, we have to admit that we are just about as clueless as ever.

When it comes to familiar faces from the show, you are going to see Alanna Masterson a.k.a. Tara tonight. Does this mean that we’re going to have a big Tara episode, finally? It’s possible, or it may have just been her time to appear on the show. We do feel like this character, who had such a fantastic beginning to the show, is forgotten sometimes, and with that, it would be nice to see a whole lot more of her.

As for the behind-the-scenes component, co-executive producer Denise Huth is stopping by. We’re having a hard time remembering or figuring out if she has been on the show before. She does have an onscreen component to her job on “The Walking Dead“; photos of her were used to portray the wife of the Governor during earlier seasons of the show.

Finally, one of our favorites in Timothy Simons is stopping by! While he may not be a part of this universe, he has appeared on another Chris Hardwick-hosted show in “@midnight.” Also, he plays Jonah, a fantastic character stuffed with cynicism, over on HBO’s “Veep.” Ironically, “Talking Dead” airs in the same timeslot that “Veep” will be come April 12. Granted, the zombie drama will be over by then.

If you missed it during the week, you can watch a sneak peek for tonight’s “Walking Dead,” which focuses on Carl front and center, over at the link here. Also, be sure to sign up if you want to grab some other TV updates on all we cover via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: AMC.)
