‘The Walking Dead’ season 5, episode 12 preview: A Chandler Riggs-centric sneak peek

Carl -For those of you who have felt like there needs to be more Carl on “The Walking Dead” this season, maybe the preview below for Sunday night’s “Remember” will suit your fancy. After all, this is a chance to watch more of Chandler Riggs’ character in his element, which for us means watching him roam around in a house.

So what’s behind that door? We are really hoping that it is pudding, or a new hat for him to wear. Honestly, though, we’re really just hoping that it is nothing. When the group approached Alexandria on this past episode of the series, they understandably did so with an enormous amount of hesitation. Can you really blame them? Just think for a minute about everything that they’ve been through when it comes to approaching new communities with the best of intentions. Woodbury ended up being hell more or less run by The Governor. Meanwhile, Terminus was a den of cannibals. It is realistic to think that this is not the safe zone that it appears on the surface.

With all of this being said, we’d like there to be an episode or two where Carl, Rick, and everyone else starts to feel a little more at ease. Maybe this is where Rick actually finds a razor to shave off that enormous beard. (We do know that Andrew Lincoln has been beardless for months.) These characters need to relax a little, mostly because that will amplify the danger whenever it does return.

We’ll have a chance to tell you if there really is a reason to be afraid in our review of this episode tomorrow night.
