‘Scorpion’ episode 17 preview: The team heads down to Mexico

You’ve waited for a while now to see the next new episode of CBS’ “Scorpion,” and the good news that we have for you today is simple: It’s almost here! Monday night will be the debut of “Going South,” an installment that features some of your favorite geniuses going on a pretty tricky journey down to Mexico.

While the promo below does not necessarily offer up much in the way of specific character insight, it is a reminder that this is going to be a rather action-packed episode with a heck of a lot going on. For one, you are going to have a chance to see the likes of Paige, Walter, and more take on what looks to be a very dangerous cartel, and they have seemingly taken the whole golden gun idea from the James Bond movies. Pretty awesome, no? Also, the action sequences here are fairly great. The episode reminds us in a way of some of those past episodes of “Burn Notice” when Michael found himself running from notorious gangs.

As we start to get deeper and deeper into this season, some more character-specific questions will arise. For example, is there something further there with Walter and Paige? We figure that there will be an answer to this eventually, but the show is probably not in a hurry to make that clear. After all, there are so many other things that it has coming up, and we’re only in the first season.
