ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4, episode 13 shocker: Who returned to save Olivia Pope?
We have to give some credit to “Scandal.” While another show tonight failed miserably to bring back one of its stars from the past, this particular show tried to do something like this and succeeded!
So who managed to save Olivia Pope? Well, in true “once a Gladiator, always a Gladiator” fashion, we had a chance to see Stephen again! As it turned out, he happened to be doing work in the right place at the right time, and it was a thrill to see Henry Ian Cusick again. We’re sure that there are quite a few out there who did not even watch the first season, and were somewhat surprised to see him in the end.
Also, have we seen the end of Andrew? While he’s not exactly dead, Huck did some pretty terrible stuff to him, so much so that we’re not sure what to make of his current physical, emotional, or mental state at the moment. Maybe this will be addressed in the future, but it’s hard to have a whole lot of sympathy for a guy who ultimately did much of this to himself.
In the end, the largest takeaway from Thursday night’s new episode is that this show ultimately returned to its status quo, and that is having Olivia Pope back in Washington DC. This is good news for those of you who like traditional “Scandal.” We’ll have to see just what her return means for herself and Fitz, in addition to every other character who is a part of this world.

I have to agree with Deena Braun. In one season we have seen Jake and Olivia together more than we have seen Fitz and Olivia truly together from all four seasons. Olivia arguing with Fitz for saving her life is a oxymoron because had he not started the war, she would have been killed and unable to be saved. Whether Olivia or anyone else for that matter likes it or not, Fitz saved Olivia’s life. Olivia being under heavy pressure blatantly told Ian that the President wouldn’t stop until he found her, and had him checking her back for a tracer she hoped Fitz had secretly placed inside of her. Olitz was a beautiful love story that has completely disappeared and the only thing left is100% garbage. What pisses me off is that the writers and SR have seem to have come to the conclusion that the fans like being jerked around, like these ridiculous storylines, enjoy only seeing Fitz and Olivia together in a dream, or arguing and tearing each other a part. SR like many others who start out with brilliant shows is doing to Scandal what is usually done to a good show, destroying it with BS and by removing the essence of the show that got fans hooked, Olitz. Without Olitz, there is no point in watching the show. So Scandal has to make some major changes soon, or it will be losing another fan.

Scandal is done. Liv’s cold-heartedness toward Fitz and SR’s soap-operaish crap writing has finally alienated even the most die-hard fan. Will always love Olitz, but can’t take watching the destruction of OP and one of TV’s greatest love story. Tired of wash, rinse, repeat love triangles going nowhere.
