ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4, episode 14 preview: Kerry Washington, Tony Goldwyn, and the Andrew dilemma

More scoop -Let’s hope that the events of tonight’s new episode of “Scandal” were enough to tide you over, at least for the time being. What’s the reason for that? It is strictly the matter of there not being another episode for two weeks. Next week, “How to Get Away with Murder” is going to come to a close with a two-hour finale, which means a brief reprieve for Kerry Washington and company.

When the show dues return with the March 5 episode “The Lawn Chair,” you will have what is ultimately a game-changing episode that could make it very clear what the White House is going to do moving forward after everything that we’ve seen them go through with the threats, Olivia Pope’s capture, and much more. While it may not be altogether substantial, the synopsis attached here is at least a slight indicator of the future: “A tragedy in D.C. gains national attention and the White House must deal with their problematic VP.”

The promo below gives you a better sense of what this tragedy will be, and Olivia has her hands full dealing with a very separate situation, and something that feels very much like what happened in Ferguson. We’re not necessarily sure that this is a story that the show needs to do, mostly because we don’t really think of them of taking plots from the headlines. This could be a problem that Olivia cannot fix, and she makes that very clear.
