‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 2 finale spoilers: Tom Mison discusses ending

The season 2 finale of “Sleepy Hollow” is only a mere matter of days away, and there are obviously many questions that need to be resolved during this episode. For one, we have Abbie seemingly in a different time period, and there is also the not-so-little issue known as Katrina seemingly crossing over to the dark side. Suffice it to say, many of our beloved characters here have a heck of a lot of work to do, and they are going to be contending with things that are more than a little dangerous.

What is interesting about this finale, though, is that it still appears as though there could be a reasonably definitive ending for the time being … but with enough of a cliffhanger to keep people interested in more. For more on that, just take a look at what Tom Mison himself said to TVLine on the subject:

“I think it does open the door. It opens a big door for a new team; new relationships within the team are forged in that final episode that open a door to such great opportunities for Season 3. If [a renewal] doesn’t happen, there would be a few questions answered, but there would be questions raised about what would happen now.”

We do feel like the show is probably handling this finale the right way, at least in that the last thing you want to do is deprive someone of the proper closure that they’ve been hoping for ever since the very beginning of the series. This gives them some of that, but also an incentive to keep on watching. Best of all words!
