‘Sons of Anarchy’ alum Maggie Siff returns to TV in Damian Lewis series
Do you miss Maggie Siff on TV? It’s hard to blame you! She was excellent on the sixth season of “Sons of Anarchy” in particular, but we unfortunately saw the journey of her character Tara end at the end of that season. Luckily, she can at least attest to playing one of those rare TV characters whose death really does linger and create a huge uprising with the characters who remain.
Now, we know for certain where Siff is going to bring her talents next: To Showtime. Sources confirm that the actress is the latest addition to “Billions,” the upcoming series on the premium cable network that is about the world of high finance in New York City. Siff will play the wife to Paul Giamatti’s Charlie, an extremely intelligent U.S. attorney. Damian Lewis is also starring in the show as a powerful man in the financial world.
This is the sort of series that is probably going to have monumental expectations almost from the moment it comes on the air, so all parties involved better be prepared for that! It features a great cast, and one of the real things we’re curious about is just where it will fit in the schedule. Remember here that the network already has “Homeland,” “The Affair,” “Ray Donovan,” “Penny Dreadful,” and “Masters of Sex” all as a part of their schedule. That is not a whole lot of room for other things.
In the end, we’re just going to have to wait and see where this goes.
