‘Supernatural’ season 10 spoilers: How ‘Paper Moon’ will reflect Sam, Dean’s journey
As of right now, San and Dean on “Supernatural” are in a fairly complicated place. The brothers are much more connected now than they were in the first three episodes, but that’s not exactly a ringing endorsement given that during these stories, much of the madness with Demon Dean was at its peak.
Well, the two are going to need to be at their monster-hunting best during Tuesday night’s new “Paper Moon” episode, mostly because of the simple fact that Werewolf Kate is going to be back on the scene and causing plenty of trouble.
So why bring her back now after two seasons? Based on what writer Adam Glass tells TVLine, most of the reason for it comes as a reflecting of where Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki’s characters are this very moment:
“Her experience, as great Monster of the Week episodes always do, reflects basically where the boys are at emotionally right now. So it will be them looking at themselves in the mirror through Kate and what’s happening in her experience.”
While we were admittedly surprised to see Kate returning right now, we are at the same time pretty intrigued to see how she fits into the story. Also, at the same time we’re also feeling ready to just bring the show back to its roots a little bit of bringing quality storytelling to the table that features Sam and Dean doing what they do best. This is, after all, the foundation on which the show began.
