‘NCIS’ season 12 spoilers: Who could have doubts on possible new Tony love interest?
We’ve already learned that things did not exactly work out between Tony and Leia Pendergast on “NCIS” season 12, so could another love interest be around the corner? Marisol Nichols’ casting for next week’s episode has already raised eyebrows, especially since she has a lengthy past with him that dates back to when the two worked together in Philadelphia many years ago. Therefore, working on a case could mean an opportunity to reconnect.
However, it seems like she may have a little trouble winning over some of Tony’s friends and colleagues, at least in the event he were actually looking to them for approval. Speaking to TVLine in a new interview, Sean Murray makes it clear that there could be a little friction between McGee and this new arrival almost from the get-go:
“She’s slightly insulting to McGee when he first meets her, so he’s not sure how he feels about this woman.”
For any out there seriously considered whether or not Tony has a genuine future with this character, the one thing that we’d say is that we haven’t heard anything about him having any sort of long-lasting girlfriend on the show for a little while. Therefore, that means we will probably see this pattern at least one or two more times before this season comes to a close.
As for McGee, we really just hope that Margo Harshman returns soon as Delilah … but we’re probably a broken record when it comes to that.

I too, agree that the possible girlfriend with Leia was over hyped by a long shot. I wasn’t impressed with her at all as an actress and certainly the character wasn’t a fit for Tony. I hope that the “blast from the past” isn’t just another tease either. Michael and Gary have hinted that Ziva may return so I’m still holding out hope that Cote will return at least for a couple of guest episodes to either wrap things up so we get a conclusion to the “will they won’t they” by Ziva sending Tony away for good and they can move on with a proper relationship for him if Cote doesn’t plan to return to NCIS OR if she is coming back we get some indication of how Ziva will be written back in and what kind of relationship she will have with the team and with Tony. This is one storyline that has to be finished properly to give fans some peace. I have never seen so much hype about an actor leaving a series as with Cote leaving NCIS. She will be finishing up with “The Dovekeepers” soon so we’ll see what is in store. I’m still wondering if they will use this as a possible cliff-hanger for next season.

please, don;t bring back Delilah, give Tim another fling, not that I don’t like her, but they just not have the chemistry, sorry, I even think that Bishop can fit with Tim better than Delilah, but she’s married :p

With the episodes so far with her in it, I’ve thought that Delilah has way better chemistry with Tony than McGee. I thought the earlier episode where Tony got nosy and answered Tim’s cell and saw pics of Delilah meant for Tim was hilarious. Tony’s reaction to Delilah dressing him down was funny.

Can’t agree more, remember that Delilah seems more comfortable with Tony than Tim even after her accident? I think instead of trying to give Tony a new fling, they should pair Tony with Delilah instead, but that will be too heartbreaking for Tim, so give Tim another fling :p

I thought that too. In one episode Tony went into a closet to talk to her and ran into a cardboard image of himself. That was a bit silly but the exchanges between him and Delilah have been humorous to say the least.

Tony/MW just has chemistry with pretty much everyone. His scenes are enjoyable whereas McGee’s scenes can at times be pretty dull. I didn’t really see any chemistry between he and Delilah but they really seem to be pushing McGee to the front this season so I imagine Delilah will be back to give us even more McGee.

I found the relationship of McGee and Delilah very uncomfortable. There was a combination of attraction but almost repulsion at the same time. When McGee was being awkward about attending the black tie gala with her I thought “Buddy if you don’t go with her, this relationship doesn’t stand a chance.” Thankfully Abby knocked some sense into him. I would like to have seen Abby and McGee pair up if they were going to get more romance going in the series. Although I think they tried that route with them in the beginning of the series and it didn’t fly. Pauley has publicly stated that she doesn’t want any of the main characters paired up. She wasn’t in favour of “TIVA” either.

I don’t understand why they keep pushing McGee and Delilah when they absolutely not have chemistry together, McGee and Abby have the best
chemistry but they seems to be out of question, but there are still a
lot of options for McGee, like the foreign senator daughter, or the
gamer, or even Ziva.
Please, McGee – Deliah just straight boring

LOL! after all that hype he had a trashy 7 day fling with her and dumped her and that was it. Honestly I believe the cast couldn’t stand the actress. No one mentioned her, tweeted pictures with her, and no one followed her on twitter. Very different from all other guest stars. She was a trashy characterr and they had a trashy relationship. Personally I wish they would just stop. Let Tony zip his pants and be a real agent. Let him get, OMG wait for it, PROMOTED after 12 years. and then in a little bit, bring back Ziva. Don’t bitch at me. They keep hinting about it. Stop it with the trying-way-too-hard trashy women.

hmm, I almost thought Borin was acting a little Jealous around Tony at the start of the last episode.
He needs to find someone or he is gonna end up like Gibbs. And Im not sure Tony wants that anymore.

I just had a thought after my above post. I think she was a bit jealous and flirty too. She did approach him at one point with her shirt unbuttoned kind of low. What if he and Borin did start something and then Ziva returned? When Michael hinted at Ziva possibly returning in an earlier article he did mention that there would definitely be “fireworks”. What would be a good “bang” would be a season finale scene with Tony and Borin together in some fashion maybe not even romatically but with one sheltering the other after an explosion like when Ziva pounced on Tony in an episode to save him from injury and the scene and season ends with Ziva spotting them together but somehow misinterprets it as romantic. I know I’m probably going off the rails with this one but to me this is a h*** of a lot of fun imagining all the different possibilities.

Its certainly far more interesting than attempting to pair Borin up with Gibbs. Im not sure but I think Mark Harmon might be requesting less screen time nowadays or might be possibly getting tired in the role. He just seems to play Grouchy a lot nowadays (and perhaps more so than usual).
Im not sure that NCIS isnt treading water a bit this year. Its just a feeling I get.

It seems like Gibbs is in nearly every scene and I actually think he’s getting every bit as much screen time as last season. At least so far with the exception of the Ducky episode, this season has been the Gibbs show. I would like it if others got some quality screen time too. I can’t imagine that the writers are serious about giving Tony a real romance at this point. Whenever they put a Tony spoiler out it ends up being an unimportant, undeveloped, and insignificant joke.

Strange. I thought he has been in this season less. Maybe its just perception.

Gibbs seems to be in somewhat less scenes with the exception of the premier. I think that the romance teasers for Tony are just fillers to bide time until the “TIVA” issue is resolved based on whether Cote is coming back or not. I know that we’ve talked circles on this topic on several posts but it is one storyline that needs a conclusion for Tony to move forward properly. I’ve got a sneaking suspicion that she may come back based on the teasing hints that GG and Michael have made on other posts.

I share that feeling too. Mark must be feeling it with being involved as a producer with NCIS NO. Gibbs could “retire” and let Tony take over and just be a part time role in that he gets called on once in a while when they get real stuck. Cote really rocked the boat when she left at the last minute last season. I saw her screen time really increase in the last 2-3 seasons that she was on the show and to this day I’m wondering if she was suffering from burn out and requested less screen time and they refused her so she walked. The stories so far this season aren’t bad, better than last but not as good as the middle seasons. It is well known that the film day on NCIS is often 12-16 hours long. You times that by 5 and that translates into a 60-80 hour work week. That’s not something I’d want no matter how much I loved the job or what I was paid.
