ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 spoilers: Tyler Hilton joins Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion in ‘old west’

For those of you curious about the upcoming “Castle” episode entitled “Once Upon a Time in the West,” we have some of the first major casting news for you right now.

Tyler Hilton (“One Tree Hill”) has confirmed himself that he will be appearing in this episode, which will be airing a little bit later this fall on ABC. As for who he will be playing, TVLine claims that he will be Tobias, a “fun-loving” guest at the Old West-style resort that serves as the setting for this episode. There will be (of course) a murder that takes place here that brings Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) to the scene, and somehow Tobias finds himself in possession of some important information.

This entire story seems like one that is meant to be full of comedy, so we’re not going to take anything about this role too seriously for now. After all of the serious stuff that we are dealing with right now when it comes to Rick’s disappearance, and the couple’s constant struggle to move forward, the show really needs to let loose a little and focus on some of its other attributes. Hopefully, this will be a great opportunity to do this. We’ve already said it a few times over now that these are the “Castle” episodes that we really love to go back and re-watch whenever we need a pick-me-up.
