‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 spoilers: Boss on Regina, Robin Hood, ‘love triangle’

Is love in the air on “Once Upon a Time” season 4? You can probably always say that, depending on what character you are talking about.

But when it comes to Regina and Robin Hood, we do have to wonder if there will even be a relationship at all. Just think about this for a minute: You have two characters who are pretty likable and fell for each other last season, but with Maid Marian now back on the scene, things are changing … significantly.

So what comes next for these three? Well, it may not be what you think. When asked by TVLine about the prospect of a love triangle, show boss Adam Horowitz would not even confirm that something like this was happening:

“Who says we’re doing a love triangle? … Hopefully it becomes less about the relationship itself and more about Regina [and] open[s] the door to who she is and what she’s going to become.”

Ultimately, we almost think that this is going to be a story a little more about what happens when Regina looks at Emma, and thinks about what she did in bringing Marian back. Will she seek revenge? Is she the same Evil Queen that she once was, or have the past few years really taught her anything when it comes to reforming? These are things that we will have to learn over the course of the episodes ahead.

The new “Once Upon a Time” season starts on Sunday, September 28 … but we’ll of course have so much more information before that. Stay tuned, since we’re not doing scooping the show yet.
