The Vampire Lestat season 1 episode 2 preview: More on Gabriella?

As we prepare to see The Vampire Lestat season 1 episode 2 on AMC next week, what more can we say about what is to come?

Well, first and foremost, we really should begin by saying that given the way that the show concluded this go-around, Gabriella all of a sudden becomes incredibly important. We are talking here about Lestat’s mom! This is someone who clearly has a “complicated” relationship with Sam Reid’s character. Is she going to be able to manipulate him? Persuade him on some level? We do think that these are among the major questions you should be thinking about — it is a chance to learn more about how he became the person we’ve come to see so far. Meanwhile, there is also a chance this connects to the mystery at the start of the series, and we are eager to learn more there, as well.

Ultimately, this is a show that is going to be existing in a few different time periods at the same time, and that is something we welcome for a multitude of different reasons. This is a show that does have a fairly small number of total episodes and by virtue of that, we do tend to think that it has to move quickly.

Of course, the aftermath of Detroit is a big deal here — how will he wrestle with his secret potentially being out?
