‘True Blood’ season 7, episode 3 preview: A funny Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer scene

One of the reasons why “True Blood” became a success for HBO in the first place is because the show was able to mix fairly effortlessly humor into some of their more serious storylines. However, there have been a number of moments throughout season 7 so far where we haven’t seen a whole lot of that.

Luckily, this changes somewhat courtesy of the new sneak peek video below for Sunday night’s new episode, which features what is to us a very funny interaction between Sookie and Bill while trying to fulfill her latest mission. Anna Paquin’s character is reminded that she will need to drink some vampire blood for this to work, but right when Stephen Moyer’s vampire starts to get truly into it again, she reminds him that she does still have a boyfriend. In a way, we almost needed the reminder, as well, given that she did just ditch said boyfriend while he took a shower. Not exactly the nicest thing in the world, especially if you want to make him feel not paranoid about what you are up to.

Are Sookie and Bill going to end up being endgame for the show? We’ve wondered that for a while, given that the two were each other’s first real loves within the present world of the series before all of that stuff went down. It is the pairing that makes the most sense for her, but there are a million or so problems that she’ll need to overcome for it to happen. For the time being, the biggest one is simply that Alcide is going to be none too pleased if something like this takes place.
