‘Doctor Who’: Arthur Darville’s ‘Let It Go’ mash-up video is all kinds of awesome

The latest -Ladies and gentlemen, we may have a winner now for one of the greatest internet video of the entire month of April. This may be just due to our intense love of “Doctor Who,” but we have officially watched the video below so many times now that we wonder if we have contributed to half of its total at this point on YouTube.

The subject of this glorious clip is really rather simple in that it features Arthur Darville performing a mash-up song on BBC Radio 1 to the “Frozen” ballad “Let It Go.” The twist? All of the lyrics revolve primarily around “Doctor Who” and the show’s fandom. It is pretty brilliant that Darville decided to perform this in the first place, since it pokes fun at himself a little bit. At the same time, though, it also highlights the fact that he can sing very well, and that he has done a variety of other things that have nothing to do with being Rory on the show.

As Darville says, he is now performing on the West End version of “Once,” and was in “Broadchurch,” a rather fantastic series that is certainly worth watching. The show is even coming to America later this year in the form of a remake, which is known by the name of “Gracepoint.”

As for what you can expect next from “Doctor Who” itself, the new season starring Peter Capaldi will premiere on the BBC later this summer / early fall. We’ll have more news on that as it becomes available.
