NBC’s ‘Community’ season 5 finale spoilers: Of course Greendale has a secret area

The latest -There are few things with “Community” that we can really qualify as surprises anymore, and one of them is finding out that there may be some sort of secret area of Greendale that was previously undiscovered by the current committee. Given that we just had a lengthy story about whether Nicolas Cage was good or bad, isn’t it appropriate that we now approach a story that feels like “National Treasure”?

In order to stop the superpower otherwise known as Subway, the committee has a next-to-impossible job ahead for them in trying to find a way to beat the sandwich show to this discovery. If the likes of Jeff, Abed, and the others can find the secret area previously closed off, they may now have the upper hand to ensuring that Greendale stays Greendale for a little while longer.

Still, we argue that our recent solution is potentially the best: Just find a way to turn the school into a walking disaster zone again. The only reason that the board is suddenly interested in making it into something else is because of the fact that they have suddenly realized that there is value to the property. If the school somehow functions better as a cesspool, then why not return to making it into a dump again? This seems like a pretty reasonable solution to what is a problem that could force everyone to go their separate ways again.

Hopefully, we’ll learn about if this is the series finale or not at some point in the near future. Even with recent ratings declines, we still feel like the show is likely to get renewed.
