‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10: Chandra Wilson to grace ‘General Hospital’
Can’t get enough of Chandra Wilson? Then for all of you big-time “Grey’s Anatomy” fans, this story is going to be straight up your alley.
According to a story first reported by Soaps in Depth, the actress (best known for playing Dr. Miranda Bailey on the long-running ABC show) is going to be stopping by “General Hospital” in the new year on January 28. As for her character, what we can say for now is that she is going to be going from her role as a doctor to one as a patient of the Kevin character. There will also be at least a few things in common between this character and Dr. Bailey.
To us, one of the biggest surprises is that Wilson even has the time to make the appearance on another series given the sort of workload that really goes into making something like “Grey’s Anatomy” into a success. You are often working extremely long hours for a good eight or nine months a year, and there is not much time in there to film an appearance on another show. This is probably why Chandra is only able to do a one-episode appearance, since she will have to go back to her day job.
But, this should at least be a nice way for some of you members of the “Grey’s Anatomy” faithful to get a little more of one of your favorite actors before the show returns to television on February 27. This is one of the longest breaks that the show has ever had, but one of the biggest reasons for it is simply that this is a way to keep the series away from the Olympics, and allow it to air the entire second half uninterrupted, without those sort of breaks every few weeks that tend to really annoy viewers.
