ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 3, episode 11 preview: Pondering Kerry Washington’s next move
What in the world is coming next for “Scandal” season 3? That is a question that is hopefully going to be answered come February 27 … but unfortunately, fans probably won’t get much before then. This is a show that does not like to give anything away when it comes to spoilers, and we certainly do not see that changing now.
With that being said, the promo below does not really give anything away, save for simply telling you that the return of the show is going to be on Thursday, February 27. Unfortunately, we cannot promise that like “Grey’s Anatomy,” it is going to air all of its episodes in succession just yet. The news that the show was reducing its order to accommodate Kerry Washington’s pregnancy may complicate some things if ABC wants to keep this show as a valuable player in the ratings for May sweeps.
In one way, we’re surprised that the show did not delay its return until later in March, that way it would still be around until the May sweeps and could air consecutively. The only reason we can think of for them not doing that is a general fear that the audience would start to drift away over time.
As for where the show will pick up, you have to imagine that Jake Ballard is going to have a much larger role now that he has taken over Eli’s operation, Cyrus and James could be working much closer together, and we’re set to have Olivia try and take on her mother in the most dangerous environment out there: The White House. But depending on how many warnings they have sent to the police, can “Maya Lewis” really roam around in public for that long? That is one of those things that does merit a better explanation.
What do you think is going to happen on “Scandal” the rest of the way? Speculate below! Also, click here if you’re curious to read our full review of tonight’s “A Door Marked Exit.”
