Is Last Week Tonight with John Oliver new tonight on HBO? If it is, when will it air?

Today marks one of those instances where there are a couple of variables very-much at play when it comes to the future of the show, and these are things that can hardly be ignored. First and foremost, consider the fact that House of the Dragon is around and that obviously does influence when the show is going to air. Beyond that, we are also in the midst of the summer and more often than not, there are some breaks that come along with that!

Now that the table has been properly set, here is where we get into sharing more of the facts. Last Week Tonight with John Oliver will be airing tonight, but you will need at least a measure of patience in order to see it. The plan is for the series to air at 11:15 p.m. Eastern time — a little earlier than what we got last week, but there is still some patience required here. One thing that you should also be aware of as we get more into tonight’s installment is the rather-simple fact that there will be a hiatus next week — which does make sense, given that the July 4 holiday is right around the corner.

What could the focus be?

Honestly, this is a week where Oliver and his team could go in a number of different directions — also, given what he has brought to the table recently regarding hogs and other subjects, this can be an almost impossible thing to predict. The last thing that we would want to do at this point is come into the episode tonight assuming that he is going to hone in on something especially topical. That is not always something that he and the entire staff feel a need to do!
