‘Two and a Half Men’ season 11, episode 10 preview: A rare Jake Harper reference!

While “Two and a Half Men” is certainly not a perfect show by any means, we will at least acknowledge that they are doing a very solid job in the department of reminding you that there are other characters who are still a part of the show, even if you’re not seeing them regularly. Specifically here, we are talking about Angus T. Jones and his character of Jake Harper. He has yet to turn in an appearance at all this season, though that seems to be based on the actor’s own choice rather than production. But, even with that, his presence is still being felt.

In the sneak peek below, you find out that Jake has sent Alan a box for Christmas with something in it … but the show is not so kind as to let you know what it is. While it would be great to see a surprise Jake cameo thrown in here somewhere, that feels kind of unlikely given that we’re seeing a box instead. It would have been a nice little Easter egg for the fans, but at least they are still doing their part to remind us that the guy is still alive.

As for the rest of the story Thursday night, expect it to in some ways be a continuation of where we left off last week, where Alan may have found the perfect woman for him, despite her at one point being the man. Meanwhile, Walden seems to have moved forward from that comedy-of-errors love interest that he was dealing with a little earlier this season, which has to be considered pretty good news. The only mystery that remains is how Jenny is going to spend her first year at the beach house, and we hope it’s by doing something unrelated to drinking and sex. That is the frustrating part about these characters, as we’ve seen different dimensions to them over the years. It’s just that, for whatever reason, the writers are much too keen to often follow the obvious path.
