It’s been a little bit of time since we’ve had a new update when it comes to the world of “Castle,” but hopefully getting some more information when it comes to Kate Beckett’s future should make up for it.
According to a report from TV Guide, Frances Fisher (“Titanic”) is going to surface in the world of the ABC series this spring, playing a character with a rather interesting tie to Stana Katic’s Beckett. Specifically, we’re talking here in terms of her being a sort of Anna Wintour-type woman named Matilda King, who runs a popular fashion magazine. Not only that, but she apparently has a history with Stana Katic’s character, at least in that she did a little bit of modeling back when she was in high school.
Obviously, the big surprise that comes along with this news is simply that Beckett was ever a model at all, mostly because this was not something that had ever been really addressed on the show until this point. But, Beckett also has not been particularly forthcoming over the years when it comes to her past, so it is hard to really know what she was up to in her past. But still, this could be a fun story given that Castle may not know about this part of her life, either. Isn’t that an opportunity for a ton of fun on the show?
“Castle” will be back on the air starting on Monday, January 6 after “The Bachelor,” and it will be returning specifically with an episode that really takes a dive into celebrity culture. Not only that, but it will make Beckett start to think to herself whether or not she is really going to be okay with marrying into Rick’s lifestyle.
