ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 3, episode 9 spoilers: Another big moment for Emily Thorne

Sunday night’s “Revenge” season 3 episode is going to be very important for so many reasons. Not only are you going to get an opportunity to see the continuation of the story that brings us to the “wedding” of Emily Thorne and Daniel Grayson, but there will also be a very different sort of proposal that plays out.

Want to know what this moment is? Let’s just say that another man gets down on one knee and asks for her hand in marriage. There are going to be a number of other complications that could play out (obviously) in another man asking for Emily’s heart, but she seems to be much more earnest in her response to this one than what she is going through with Daniel.

You can probably find out some more information about this proposal if you navigate around the internet before tonight, but we are being coy for the simple reason that it seems like somewhat of a big spoiler to give everything away several hours from the show actually airing. The saddest thing about any proposal coming in the direction of Emily is that we don’t believe that it can last. Her plan is to have herself “murdered” by Victoria, and she can then flee and go about living somewhere else until the end of her days. But, we already know that this plan does not go according to plan, since it’s not Victoria that ends up shooting her. There are countless other suspects out there, and the indication is that Emily is actually shot. Does she die? It’s doubtful given she is front and center for this show, but we imagine that there are a plethora of other reasons as to why a real engagement for her would not work in this world … especially if her marriage to Daniel sticks for a while.
