‘The Good Wife’ season 5 spoilers: Matthew Goode to spend time with Julianna Margulies’ Alicia
If there is one thing that “The Good Wife” is synonymous with other than really good television, it is this: Guest stars, and plenty of them. If we started to rattle off the list here of famous folk who have stopped by Lockhart Gardner over the years, we’d probably be here all day.
Instead, let’s just try to share some of the latest scoop all about who is stopping by the show moving forward. According to TVLine, English actor Matthew Goode is going to be appearing in a multiple-episode arc in the new year as a prosecutor who ends up becoming a close associate of Julianna Margulies’ Alicia.
Is it possible that this could be another love interest for the character? With this show, you can never be too sure. Things are constantly volatile when it comes to Alicia and Peter, so you can never put it out of the realm of possibility that she would be interested in looking elsewhere, especially given that it is his indiscretions that caused this entire mess in the first place. But with this being said, how much time does she really have for love right now? Starting to take on new responsibilities at a firm is a ton of work, especially when you’re also balancing out the backlash from leaving the old one.
As a sort of random, kind-of-cheesy final thought, we do find it somewhat gleeful that an actor with the last name of “Goode” is joining “The Good Wife.” Now that we said that, we feel ready to move on.
