‘The Following’ season 2 spoilers: Check out a new shot all about Emma
With “The Following” season 2 premiere coming on Sunday, January 19 after the NFL Championship Game, we understand that there are a vast multitude of questions out there concerning just what to expect.
But one of the questions out there that has probably not been touched on enough (at least so far) is what in the world is going to happen when it comes to Joe Carroll’s most notable follower: Emma. She is someone who created all sort of chaos throughout the first season, had her own romantic obsession with Joe, and the eventually disappeared to other places. Given that she did make it out of the first season alive, it was very much assumed that she would be coming back for more … right?
Definitely, and the new photo that he have here (per E! News) is proof of the whole thing. This shows that Emma is apparently now in her punk phase, and has a brand-new look to try and disguise the fact that she is one of the most notorious killers out there right now. Maybe this will work if she lays low at certain places and stays close to the right group of people, but it can’t possibly work forever … can it? We’re not that inclined to think so.
Ultimately, “The Following” does seem to be in a pretty good position now moving into the second season based on all of the information that we know. We’ve learned already that Joe Carroll is coming back, and so long as that information is out there, he has a chance of striking again. Right now, we relate what his arc may be possibly be to how “The Walking Dead” handled The Governor this season. We’re not saying that their endings will be the same, but there are probably at least a few similarities when it comes to the beginnings.
What do you think about this photo, and is there anything in particular that you want to see from Emma when she comes back on the show? Share some of your thoughts and theories below!
