‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: A slight Felicity Smoak tease

There is quite a bit of story still to come from “Arrow” season 2, especially when you’re talking about how some of these characters are going to evolve. In the case of one Felicity Smoak, for example, this is not a character who was originally going to have such a big role on the show. She was someone who started things off as a mere employee of Queen Consolidated who has turned into a valuable tool in the Arrow operation. She was anxious at first, and is becoming a little more confident with trying to help in any way that she can.

So what all does this entail? Expect to see her taking more of a proactive stance at times, and there is also the possible romance with Barry Allen that is coming on Wednesday night’s new episode “The Scientist.” Emily Bett Rickards also tells Give Me My Remote that with the upcoming 12th episode of the season, you are going to see Felicity work with someone who she hasn’t necessarily done that much work with already, but people has been hoping to see something happen.

But what about Felicity and Oliver? This has become the most interesting pairing of the show, even more so in the minds of many than Oliver with Laurel Lance. They will continue to have their moments, but at the same time they have to address some other issues. Oliver, for example, is afraid of being with someone that he really cares about at this point. Hence, his distance from Laurel, and also the fact that he and Isabel Rochev slept together earlier this season. Patience, fellow shippers, is a valuable thing to have.
