NBC’s ‘The Voice’ results: Did Caroline Pennell, Matthew Schuler, or Tessanne Chin go home?

The latest -One of the exciting things about “The Voice” season 5 has simply been getting the opportunity to see different performers stand out week after week. While there may be a few favorites, it doesn’t feel like there is a clear winner at this point in the competition.

This is what makes the results show tonight all the more interesting. A little bit earlier in the day, we predicted that the artists in danger were going to include the likes of Caroline Pennell, Ray Boudreaux, and even longtime favorite Matthew Schuler after his weak performance this past episode. Judging from the fact that the first two artists called safe were the obvious ones (in Will Champlin and Cole Vosbury), we were in for quite an interesting night the rest of the way.

In the end, we have to say that our predictions were 100% right about who the bottom three was going to be, and that was mostly just because iTunes remains a heck of a viable predictor for this sort of thing. While it can sometimes be wrong if you have artists ranked similar to each other, we had a case here of Matthew being way lower than the other artists, Ray being just above him, and Caroline being in the bottom three last week.

the results here unfolded exactly how it predicted. Do we feel for Cee Lo Green over not having any artists in the top 6 this season? We do, but at the same time he really did this to himself by not keeping Cole on his team. We really feel like the voters are also going more on talent this season than any individual coach, judging from the fact that this is the first time that Blake hasn’t had at least two artists in the top 6. Meanwhile, Adam is cleaning house for the time being … though we still don’t necessarily think that any of these people are going to win in the end. That seems to be more reserved for Jacquie Lee or Cole. Grade: B.
