‘Supernatural’ season 9 spoilers: See Misha Collins’ return in ‘Holy Terror’

Have you been looking for the return of Castiel back to the “Supernatural” scene? Then you will be thrilled for the attached photo, which shows Misha Collins with both Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki. This image is from the midseason finale entitled “Holy Terror,” and the real reason that this is particularly notable is simple: It’s one of the first opportunities that we’ve had to see our favorite fallen angel alongside both Winchester brothers since Ezekiel basically made it clear that he needed to keep a certain distance. In “Heaven Can Wait,” Dean opted to deal with Gas Station Castiel (as we like to call him) alone.

So what brings the three back together again? On this occasion, it is actually more happenstance than a coincidence, as they stumble upon him after learning the news of an angel massacre. While we don’t want to say too much about the episode just yet, let’s just say that it could be a painful one for the Castiel character to go through. We know already that he is the most hated angel in the world seemingly thanks to what he did with Metatron, and none of them seem willing to let him off the hook.

Speaking of Metatron, the bar background here seems to correspond well with the images that have been teased already of Curtis Armstrong with Misha that are out there, which to us suggest that this could be one of the upcoming episodes to feature him. We know that there is at least a pretty important role left for the character thanks to his reign in heaven right now, and Castiel is one of the few with the knowledge and resources to stop him. But, the problem here is that there is no way he can do it alone.

Let’s just end this article with the following: We would be stunned if there is not some sort of massive cliffhanger at the end of this, especially given that there are still over a dozen episodes left to go before the end of season 9 proper. That does include the proposed spin-off pilot, but not much has been said on it in a while.
