‘Survivor: Blood vs. Water’ preview: Tyson Apostol, Ciera Eastin, and the showdown
So who is really in the most danger on “Survivor: Blood vs. Water” on Wednesday night? There has been some criticism lately about the previews giving away too much about the upcoming episodes, and what makes the ones for next week’s episode rather interesting is that depending on which one you see, the narrative is very different.
In the first promo that aired after the episode Wednesday night, it suggested that the plan was going to be floated to finally take Tyson Apostol out of the game. It does make sense for him to bar targeted, given that he is the biggest threat out there at this point (especially since he is not only playing the game, but doing it very well).
But, this new promo suggests that it is really all about Ciera Eastin as a target. Ciera is someone who we admire a lot for the willingness to try to take ownership of her games, but her moves last week left a ton to be desired. She should have never told Katie about lying to Katie, since that just made her out to be more of a threat. Then, she NEVER should have voted out her mom. If she was willing to do that, especially if her mom didn’t know that she is going to be doing it, what else would she be willing to do? We imagine quite a bit.
This is not looking good for Ciera, especially since if Tyson even for a second suspects that he needs to play the immunity idol, he will do so and take her out in a flash. We also get the feeling here that Hayden and Caleb may not be that willing to make that move. They may be more interested in getting to around final five or so with Katie or Monica around along with Tyson and Gervase, and then just trying to convince one of them to flip. We at least see this for the time being as the much more likely scenario for them, since the whole new-player strategy for now (at least with the guys) seems to be to wait as long as possible before getting your hands dirty.
