‘Survivor: Blood vs. Water’ preview: Tyson Apostol’s plan leads to mother / daughter drama

Meet Tyson -If “Survivor: Blood vs. Water” does not have some sort of epic situation that happens regarding Laura Morett and her daughter Ciera Eastin on Wednesday night, then the show may have managed to create the biggest, most-irritating tease that they’ve ever done … and that is saying quite a bit, given the number of bonkers teases that they have managed to pull off over the years.

In the video below, you find out, at least if you have not seen any of the other previews, that Ciera is considering voting out her mom on the basis of it helping her game. However, this is not a plan that she is thinking of herself, as the earlier promo may have suggested. Tyson Apostol actually goes to her and tells her of the plan, which he realizes is important since pairs are dangerous in this game.

We agree that for Tyson’s sake, it’s a brilliant move to get Laura out, since it is mostly just getting rid of another person that is not him or Gervase. He also realizes that she is a major endurance threat, and he’s not as physically dominant as he once was earlier in the season before the injury. Any chance that he has to not bring attention on himself is a very smart move for him to make.

We go back and forth, meanwhile, on if this is a particularly wise move for Ciera to make. She has to be well aware of the fact that if she ends up voting out Laura, then she has one less person in front of her as a shield. She may have been better off to keep her for a few more weeks and try to use that extra vote in her favor. Who else really does Ciera have? We get the feeling that she assumes she still has Caleb and Hayden on her side, but we don’t know if she can win against either one of them in the end, given how popular that they are. Meanwhile, if Ciera stuck with her mom and brought with them someone like Monica Culpepper or even Caleb on his own (who may lose just because of Colton), that’s a better situation than getting anywhere near a guy in Hayden that’s already proved that he can win a reality competition.

But, in the end, this still appear to be Tyson’s game to lose, and nobody is being wise enough to do anything about it.
