‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ review: Who knew a Phaedra Parks photo could be so difficult?

On Sunday night’s new episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” the primary thing that we found out is that sometimes, the men on this show can be so ridiculous that it is hard to know where to start.

For a prime example of that, just take a look at Apollo, who decided to flip out over Phaedra Parks getting a family photo together. Seriously? We get it that taking photos can be annoying, but this guy’s emotions change almost at a drop of a hat. Maybe this is a result of not getting enough sleep or something, but this was an uncharacteristically crazy episode for him, though he was hardly the worst guy to do anything on the show this week.

We don’t really even have to debate who earns that dishonor. That goes to Kordell Stewart, who decided to send Porsha a torn-up wedding dress and therefore is one of the pettiest people that has ever been on the show. How can someone who was such a celebrated athlete end up becoming such a terrible reality TV character? Maybe this is what you get for ever wanting to idolize someone without ever knowing their personality. We know that we’re only seeing a half of the story, but still … it’s pretty terrible.

We are really enjoying NeNe Leakes this season, especially as she dealt with a real business situation in figuring out her life after the end of “The New Normal.” As a TV critic, we like it when different shows come together, and no storyline ever on the show has ever really taken us in that direction. Therefore, applause to Bravo for giving us a new flavor!

As for Kenya Moore and her twerking moment, we think that the less we say about this situation, the better that we are all going to be in the end. At least this episode as a whole really started to push things back in the right direction. Grade: B.
