‘Glee’ season 5: Naya Rivera shares new story on Cory Monteith

Naya Rivera -Even in watching “Glee” season 5 so far, the writers have made sure to make it clear that even though Cory Monteith may be gone, he is definitely not forgotten; now that some of the actors are starting to move forward, they are still trying their best to show some stories about how he was such a kind, giving soul who would make all sorts of memories with them that we never had an opportunity to hear about, at least until now.

One of these memories? How Naya Rivera and him bonded years ago, when the two were starting to get used to working together and were thinking about some of their music careers away from the show. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Naya does her best to describe how one of her favorite memories spending time with him was something completely unexpected, and just a fun little time for her to get to know him better while he gave her some honest feedback on her music:

“I have so many memories of Cory. This is a good one: two years ago, we were filming a scene and got off at nine o’clock. I said, ‘Do you want to get a drink? I’ll take you to this place that’s really cool, the Roof.’ So we go there and we were sitting in this bungalow by the fire for three and a half hours, drinking these great bourbon cocktails, chatting about life and having a blast. Then I drove him back to the Paramount parking lot, because that’s where his car was, and I played him a bunch of songs I was doing. He was also in a band, so he was always playing me their songs. It was a good day.”

One of the real testaments to Cory is just all of the great stories that you have heard about over the past weeks about it him from some of his co-stars; it shows that he was loved, and also that he is still missed. We even saw Lea Michele’s Rachel get a “Finn” tattoo on this past episode; while this is not the tattoo that she has in real life, she does have a different one commemorating him.
