‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: An Adam Lambert – Chris Colfer duet coming?

The latest -While it may not be “official” yet, we can now say with some certainty that there are going to be at least three episodes of “Glee” season 5 to feature Adam Lambert’s character of Elliott “Starchild” Gilbert, and it of course could end up being more than that depending on what the producers decide to do.

The next confirmed appearance from Adam is going to come during the Thanksgiving Day episode “Puppet Master,” as he and the rest of the gang are going to have puppet versions of themselves created for the occasion. Following that, we have an episode called “Frenemies” … though it could be quite a while before we ultimately see this episode air. If “Previously Unaired Christmas” is the last of the fall, and the show does tend to end with Christmas episodes, it could be the spring before it comes back for more.

As for what Adam will be performing in the episode, the reliable folks over at Gleek Out Brazil project it to be a version of “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” by the Darkness … which is all sorts of awesome, mostly because Colfer and Lambert may be two of the only guys out there (save for the band) who are capable of hitting some of the high notes in the song. Granted, we are a little more curious about the context of this song, since it is sort-of romantic in a strange way. Given everything that has gone on with Kurt and Blaine already, we don’t really expect it to be romantic in any way. However, we would not be too shocked if it was some sort of “see? We’re trying to get along” song. We have heard already that the conflict that these two characters have with each other is not something that is going to go away quietly into the night; these are problems that are going to carry over moving into the rest of Adam’s time on the show, and that will be fairly interesting to watch unfold.

What do you think about the song choice, and how many appearances on “Glee” do you want to see from Adam? Share some of your thoughts below, and click here if you want to hear one of the most-controversial songs to be covered in tonight’s episode.
