‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5, episode 7 preview: An emotional Bonnie / Jeremy conversation

More news -Is the end finally here for Bonnie Bennett on “The Vampire Diaries”? While Jeremy has been able to communicate with her on the other side, there are things that come with the arrival of Amara (otherwise known as the third character to be played by Nina Dobrev) that could end up closing the gap once and for all between the two worlds. That could mean that Kat Graham’s character really is gone, and there would be no way that Jeremy or anyone else could come in and save her.

It is for these reasons that a good part of the sneak peek video below feels like a goodbye. You have Jeremy getting emotional with her as he says that there are a few things that he really needs to tell her in the event that something happens, which include trying to get her not be angry at herself and expressing his gratitude for her deciding to make such a massive sacrifice in order to keep him alive. That is something that, after all, she clearly did not have to do. It would have been just as easy to be well-enough alone.

The twist here is that for Bonnie, she doesn’t want to hear the last thing that Jeremy has to say in this speech. Why? the simple answer to that is that she doesn’t want to have to endure the pain of thinking that this is the last time that the two will talk. If she can find a way to delay it for a little while, then she will be able to keep holding on to some sort of hope that they can find a way to figure this out.

As for what that last proclamation from Jeremy was going to be, who wants to bet that the word “love” may have been involved in there? Since “shipping” is such a big part of this show in many ways, it’s really hard to imagine it being anything else.
