‘NCIS’ season 11, episode 9 preview: First video of Emily Wickersham’s Bishop

More -Tonight on “NCIS,” we had what was arguably the best episode in a good month in “Alibi.” Not only did this present a heck of a fantastic mystery, but it also raised some questions as to what in the world has been going on with Tony. (We learned that he is basically dealing with a support group to get him through some tough times.)

So where do we go from here? Let’s just say that we have an episode that a good many out there have been nervous about for some time. Emily Wickersham will arrive on this episode in the role of Ellie Bishop, an analyst who is going to find her way roped into the NCIS team thanks largely to her past. She is in some ways the spiritual successor to Ziva David at least in that she’s the new series regular, but don’t expect her to just be a carbon copy of the character. She’s definitely different, and brings quite a few new elements to the table.

Before we do anything else, let’s just start off here with just sharing the full synopsis that is coming our way courtesy of CBS:

“After discovering the Secretary of the Navy was bugged during a confidential briefing, NSA Analyst Eleanor ‘Ellie’ Bishop, who predicted the security breach in exact detail two years ago, partners with the NCIS team on the case.”

As for the promo below, the first thing that you should do is ignore the title (which is clearly printed wrong by the uploader, and may be changed when you see this). We think that the show is probably trying to press a little too hard that Bishop is the Zooey Deschanel of the “NCIS” world, but hopefully she will be likable and someone to get behind.

What do want to see not only from this episode as a whole, but from Bishop herself? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below! Meanwhile, click here if you want to read our full review for “Alibi,” and we’ll have some more in the near future.
