‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10 spoilers: Ellen Pompeo, Thanksgiving, and more

More news -Who is ready for a Thanksgiving-set episode of “Grey’s Anatomy“? This season seems to be one where the holidays are really getting their due for a change, and this means carrying over to what is going to be a pretty interesting episode airing a week before the holiday itself comes to a close on Thursday, November 21. While Turkey Day is only going to be a part of this, it does represent how Meredith is now doing her part to stress holiday traditions with her family much more than she has in the past.

This installment has a title that Gotye himself would love in “Somebody That I Used to Know,” especially since this is the only song that seems to be getting any publicity still from him. Based on the ful synopsis for the hour below, some of the other characters that are going to stand for having some pretty significant stories told include Patrick Dempsey’s Derek, courtesy of some sort of conversation between him and Bailey’s husband Ben, and also April as she gets a little bit deeper into her wedding plans with Matthew. If you want more details, just look at the full synopsis below:

“Ben worries that a casual conversation with Derek could potentially cause issues for Bailey, Cristina turns to Shane as tension grows with Meredith, and April’s upcoming wedding makes for an uncomfortable situation between Jackson and Stephanie. Meanwhile, Meredith plans a Thanksgiving dinner at her house.”

We are at this point getting somewhat close to the end of the first half of season 10, given that there are only 12 episodes that are going to air this fall before the hiatus arrives. Following that, you are going to have an opportunity to have another 12 episodes that air later in the spring, and they will do so without any sort of interruption at all. This is an interesting new strategy from the folks over at ABC to keep the ratings for the show high, and it is still to be seen if this is going to work at all.

What do you think about the various components for this episode, and do you think that we are actually going to be getting a wedding featuring April? Be sure to share below, and click here if you want to watch a video preview for Thursday night’s installment “Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word.”
