‘The Good Wife’ season 5, episode 8 preview: A Josh Charles-directed episode and drama

The latest -Next week’s new episode of “The Good Wife” is directed by Josh Charles, but one of the highlights for the hour is actually going to be a victory for Will’s former partner-turned-rival Alicia: She has her first client over at the new firm! This didn’t take long at all, and that could produce that sort of temporary feeling of joy when she starts to think as though things are turning around in the right direction. But as it turns out, this is probably not going to be the case. Things have a tendency of being much harder than they first seem after the initial rush.

This episode has with it a pretty ridiculous title of “ICE, ICE, Baby,” but we imagine that the story underneath there is going to be somewhat more interesting and serious. Just take a look at the synopsis below if you are curious in finding out more:

“As Florrick/Agos move into their new offices, Alicia attempts to block the deportation of an undocumented immigrant before he is sent to Mexico, where a cartel has threatened his life. Also, Marilyn is concerned about the ethical ramifications when Eli reconnects with Natalie Flores, and Robyn tries to be more like Kalinda.”

Personally, we are hoping that the latter bit of scoop here is really just some sort of secret code for us maybe getting a little bit more related to Will to finally write about. Over the season so far, Archie Panjabi’s character has not exactly given us just a ton to go on when it comes to story, and much of the reason for that is waiting until later in the season, when there is something a little bit more substantial to discuss.
