‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 7, episode 8 preview: Johnny Galecki vs. a sweater

One week after a “Big Bang Theory” episode that featured two notable guest stars in Bob Newhart and Bill Nye the Science Guy, we are now transitioning into an episode that is going to feature a major appearance from a sweater of all things. Somehow, Leonard is going to make the terrible mistake of either losing a bet to Sheldon, or being in a situation where he feels like he has to prove a point. Therefore, this leads to him busting out the world’s itchiest sweater (with the word “Lenny” written on the front of it), and him trying to do just about everything that he can to ensure that he “beats” Sheldon in the process.

By the end of this, almost everyone (especially Penny) is going to be interested in trying to get him to remove it, but he for whatever reason remains steadfast and determined. Why is that? Your guess is ultimately as good as ours, but this is a silly little premise that is probably going to end up becoming a silly little episode, and we do not mind that at all. A little bit of silliness really can go a long way with this show, and sometimes too much drags it into despair.

But unfortunately, there is really not too much else to say about this right now, especially since the stories for the other characters are currently in the dark. The biggest mystery out there is Raj, who you would assume would be trying his hand with romance again at some point in the future. While we know that Lucy is always out there as a possibility and Kate Micucci will be back for at least one more episode this fall, we’re still not getting rid of the possibility of seeing him get with Regina King’s character in HR. She is a complete opposite from most of the guys the vast majority of the time, but she brings a different energy and also surprisingly has quite a bit to relate to when it comes to Raj. Who saw that one coming?
