‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 5, episode 8 preview: Whose career is on the line?

More scoop -While sometimes “NCIS: Los Angeles” chooses to hand out nothing more than a standalone episode, you have to still hope that there is going to be something within that story to make it worth your while. Luckily, it does appear as though that is going to be the case courtesy of next week’s all-new episode entitled “Fallout.” This is an hour that will be both dangerous and intense, and with an ending that could surprise everyone. Why is that? It’s possible that not everyone is going to come out of this with their jobs intact … and out of prison.

In order to save the city (like the superheroes they sometimes are) from a major bomb threat, the local NCIS team is going to have to figure out a way in which to get done what needs to, even if it may be against the law. One person does typically end up being the scapegoat in times like these, and to Hetty’s credit, she at least appears to be both bold and willing enough to go down with the ship … at least if that is what is required of her.

If you want to see a few more generic details, just check out the synopsis below:

“When an antiterrorism device is stolen, the team must quickly find the suspect and the device before an attack is made against Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Hetty realizes the case is bringing her back to someone from her past.”

While the words “standalone episode” could make you cringe, the words “November sweeps” should not. This is the time of the year that most shows like to deliver the sort of must-watch events that have to draw viewers live, and the promo seems to desperately hype up that this is one of those said events. So expect a huge story here that goes at top speed from start to finish, and leaves your jaw on the floor at the end.
