‘The Originals’ spoilers: Michael Trevino will cross over from ‘The Vampire Diaries’

Is Michael Trevino really going to take the hunt for Klaus down to New Orleans? Just as you would have expected following Thursday night’s “Vampire Diaries” episode, we are going to see Tyler Lockwood cross over to “The Originals” in an effort to get his revenge on Joseph Morgan’s character over the death of his mother and some of his loved ones.

Trevino confirmed the news to Entertainment Weekly, though he could not go into any details about how long he would be sticking around as the character. However, he did claim that it would be “soon” when he arrived on the show. What the actor was willing to talk a little bit more about, though, was filming those difficult scenes where we watched the relationship between Tyler and Caroline reach its end after trying to make it work for much of the past couple of years:

”It was actually really tough on both of us. In these scenes where Caroline and Tyler are going their separate ways, it’s usually that one of us is emotional and one isn’t. On this one, both of us were emotional. There were a few more takes than how it regularly goes between Candice and I.”

Are you mad at Tyler? There are certainly some people out there who are, given that Trevino claims that he has received some pretty angry emails over the past couple of weeks. But at the same time, he also cautions that those of you who are questioning Tyler’s motives will get some sort of clarity in the near future, as things will start to become a little bit clearer for him as to why he is making the decisions that he is. We’re sure that this is frustrating given that you would much rather hear the answers now, but this is the way in which the world of the show is working for the time being. You have to wait sometimes in order to get what you want.
